Sleigh spotted in skies above Melbourne!

Air Traffic Controllers advise imminent landing of Santa’s Sleigh and nine reindeers! Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland readies to open 25 Nov – 24 Dec 2022!

Attention Melbourne: a VIP guest is coming and he’s bringing the magic!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer will be there and his eight mates, and all the Elves. There’ll be thousands of magical lights, a wonderland of snow leading straight to Candy Cane Lane and an adventure of festive proportions not seen … ever! And ready to welcome guests will be the one and only first couple of Christmas, Santa and Mrs Claus. You’ll know you have arrived when you see the sleigh parked just outside!

This is Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland – an immersive, walk-through experience where every moment of Christmas has been beautifully brought to life by the creators of the award-winning Sesame Street Circus Spectacular and Jurassic Creatures – The Event Touring Company.
Every jingle, every bell, every HO HO HO will create the most wonderful memory and remind visitors of why the magic of Christmas is still the most prolific of all. Visitors to this amazing Wonderland will experience:

Magical Welcome: Visitors to Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland will be able to walk through the spectacular green doors and see where Christmas comes to life every year. Santa makes about 2.5 billion toys for children across the world, so the workshop is very busy!
The Elf’s Workshop: The cheeky elves are busy preparing for Christmas to arrive, but not too busy to spend some time with you creating some special take home craft. However, they won’t stop working so don’t be surprised to hear: “Elf 17 we need dolls dresses in the workshop, Elf 21 we need spare wheels for the bikes, Elf 15 please contact Candy Cane Lane security.” Some of the Elves even carry Santa’s famous LIST – his list of presents, and maybe, names of who has been naughty and nice!
The North Pole Post Office: Write and send off your letter to Santa at the North Pole Post Office. Not sure what to write? Our special letter-writing elves will be there to lend a helping hand.
Mrs Claus’s Bakery and Candy Land: Decorate your very own delicious sweet treat and then enjoy your creation as you gobble it down. Mrs Claus’ Bakery which will be open and creating her world famous yummy masterpiece’s. Mrs Claus will host sessions at Storytelling Corner to tell some delightful tales to the littlies.
Rudolf’s Barnyard: To meet the most famous reindeer of them all – Rudolf the Red Nosed!! Say hello and take a selfie with the animatronic reindeer in Rudolph’s Barnyard. Don’t forget to take home your bag of magical reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Stage Show: Join your favourite Christmas characters for some Christmas fun as you enjoy the live stage show entertainment. Have you seen the magic!
Snow Land: Let it snow! Snow Land has inflatable castles, snow, snow and more snow! Climb penguin mountain then zip down the snow slide into a ginormous ball-pit filled with 20,000 balls. So much fun to be had in this snowy wonderland!
Christmas Skate: 30 x 10m Roller skating rink: Roll up roll up and swap your shoes for skates. Have some rollicking fun on our roller-skating rink.
Santa’s Lounge Room: It’s the busiest time of the year – take a sneak a peek into Santa Land through Santa’s lounge-room window. See just what the man in the red suit is up to as the big day draws near.
Santa’s Photos: No trip to the Christmas Wonderland is complete without a photo with the big man himself (Note- extra fee applies).
Roving Characters: Meet Christmas elves, Rudolph, Frosty and more of your Christmas favourites. All frantically preparing for the busiest time of the year, but never too busy to say hello and stop for a selfie with you.
Carnival Games: All the fun of the fair with full themed Christmas Fun Fair every child wins a prize.
The Grinch Enjoy the music and fun of Dr Suess’ The Grinch and meet the maven of mischief himself for a photo opportunity.

The interactive walk-through adventure features everything that’s most loved about Christmas, including multiple themed Christmas zones and live entertainment for all ages.
So if you see a strange light in the skies above Melbourne, it’s just Santa and Mrs Claus bringing their magic for Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland!
